Controversial legal practitioner, Maurice Ampaw, has stated emphatically that pastors who have bodyguards are not true men of God.
According to the vociferous lawyer, no true pastor under the protection of his maker will employ people to guard them stressing those pastors who do so are ”fake men of God”.
He believes their evil deeds is what prompts them to seek for human protection instead of relying on God’s divine protection.
Speaking on Abusua FM’s Drive Time hosted by Ike De Unpredictable on Monday, the maverick lawmaker argued that the clergy are spiritually protected by God and wonders how they go to the extent of employing people to guard them if they believe they are clean and true men of God who have been ordained to preach the gospel to their church members.
”You see most of our pastors are not really going by the word of God they have shifted their focus to other irrelevant activities. Pastors like Mensah Otabil, Bishop Obinim among others have bodyguards, guns and dogs that protect them at their various homes and churches and sometimes I ask myself are these men really guided by the bible”.
He continued ”Why should a true man of God have body bodyguards to protect them even in their churches it simply means that there is something they are not doing right perhaps have also lost God’s favor because if you have clean mind and do not think evil why to worry yourself to hire bodyguards or landwards and pay them that what the bible teaches us he asked”.
”Me for instance I am a member of the Presbyterian Church and my pastor never does that, no charismatic church pastor will do that it is only the ‘’One man Church pastors’’ who do that. Why should these same pastors who say we the poor people should be guided and protected for God yet they themselves end up hiring ‘Macho men’ to give them protection”.
