Open up to Catechists views - Presbyterian Ministers told

Nkwabeng (B/A), April 28, GNA - Mr Raymond Albert Obeng-Adjei, Chairman of the Brong-Ahafo Presbyterian Church Catechists Conference has called on Ministers of the Church to open up to the views of their congregations, especially catechists in order to avoid difficulties.

Addressing 120 members of the 14th Annual General Meeting of the Catechists' Conference at Nkwabeng District Presbytery at Nkwabeng, Mr Obeng-Adjei deplored the negative attitude of some Ministers of God who refused to heed to the advice of catechists, saying such behaviour often created problems in the Churches.

He expressed gratitude to the catechists for offering themselves to serve voluntarily to promote the development of the church.

Reverend Seth Obeng-Asare in-charge of Nkwabeng District Presbyterian Church asked the catechists to take stock of the past year so they could build on their successes and improve their shortfalls to move the churches forward.

He called on them to lead lives worthy of emulation as role models in society and advised them to collaborate with members of the church to know their problems.

Mr Herman Amponsah-Yeboah, immediate past chairman of the conference emphasized the importance for catechists to show much concern about the direction of the youth and educate them to shun unhealthy practices that could ruin their lives.
