Neutrals who have suddenly shown interest in becoming Members of Parliament on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are doomed to fail, according to Koku Anyidoho, Deputy National Democratic Congress General Secretary.

According to the NDC deputy scribe, those personalities are not popular at the various constituencies where they intend to compete and that, they will be rejected by the masses.

Speaking on Atinka AM Drive hosted by Kwame Adinkra on Thursday, Koku Anyidoho said some members of the NDC, including himself, were shocked by the personalities who have suddenly shown interest in becoming Members of Parliament on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He said his party is not amazed about the fact that the said personalities are contesting on the ticket of an opposition party, but “how these people came onto the scene and how they are being received by the various constituencies.”

Philip Addison, lead Counsel for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo's legal team in the 2012 election petition, is aspiring to become Member of Parliament for the Korle Klottey Constituency in the Greater Accra Region .

Former Joy FM Morning Show host, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has officially announced his intention to run as parliamentary candidate for the Ofoase Ayeribi Constituency in the Eastern Region on the ticket of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) and former Marketing Manager of the MTN Ghana, George Andah, has also picked up nomination forms to contest the Awutu Senya East seat, which is being occupied by Foreign Minister, Hannah Tetteh.

Koku Anyidoho also said the political declarations and decisions by the personalities betray their various groups and professions.
