They held placards some of which read: "Tolerance Leads to National Unity"; "Respect Different Political Views", "Join Us In The Fight Against Violent Campaigns" and "Let Not Party Politics Divide Us". The Regional Director of the NCCE, Mr Frank Adoba who addressed the marchers later, asked politicians to use their political platforms to campaign on issues and not attack personalities.

Mr Kofi Adams, Regional Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), told newsmen, that the Party did not take part in the march due to security reasons.
He said the Municipal office of the NDC was recently vandalised and since then, no one has been arrested or prosecuted for the offence. Officials of the other opposition parties were not available for their comments.
