The Minister for Finance and Economic Planning, Yaw Osafo-Maafo, has warned those in the NDC who are doing everything possible to turn Ghana into a war-torn country like Liberia and Cote d’Voire to change their attitude because the government has the power to deal with them.
“They should be told that we are not cowards.” He was speaking at an NPP rally at Ofoase in the Birim North District of the Eastern Region.
Ghanaians, he said, are witnesses of what happened in Cote d’Ivoire and the current crisis in Liberia and the government would not sit down unconcerned and allow a few disgruntled people to draw Ghana into that situation.
The Minister, who is also the MP for Akyem Oda, said NDC is now engaged in political lies and urged Ghanaians to ignore such lies.
