Osafo-Maafo donates to flood victims

Hon. Yaw Osafo-Maafo, a presidential aspirant who is among the top 5 tiers in the presidential race for the NPP flagbearership made a generous donation over the week. The Presidential candidate donated 100 bags of rice and ?25 m to the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) as his donation aimed at aleviating the plight of the flood victims in the northern part of Ghana. Hon. Yaw Osafo-Maafo, was accompanied by his entire campaign team due to the importance he attached to the flood victims.

The donation was received by the Minister of Interior, Nana Obiri Boahen. The former Finance Minister, in his address, stated "the country woke up one day to learn about the flood disaster in the northern regions of Ghana. I am here together with my campaign team to express our sincere sympathy to the victims of the disaster"


Hon. Osafo-Maafo who is known for his eloquence and the right choice of words stated that he hoped the donation would find its way to the victims of the disaster.


Hon. Osafo-Maafo, in his words, recognized the government?s positive response to this national disaster, which has claimed the dear lives of some of our countrymen. May those who have lost their lives have their soul rest in peace. Shall we all continue to donate our quota for the alleviation of the plight of the victims.
