A former Central Regional Minister in the erstwhile John Kufuor administration, Isaac Edumadze, has been laid to rest in his hometown, in the Central region.
Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Chief of Staff, Frema Osei-Opare, Senior Minister Yaw Osafo-Maafo amidst other party officials within the region gathered to pay their last respect to their comrade.
“Hon Edumadze was a great servant of Ghana and the NPP. He served in various key positions before becoming the first Central Regional Minister under President Kufuor. It is with a heavy heart that we bid him farewell today, May his soul rest in perfect peace.” Dr. Bawumia mourned the former RM on Facebook.
Late Edumadze passed away in January at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, where he was receiving treatment for an ailment.
He’d been unwell for some time until his demise.
Mr. Edumadze, aged 61, was also a known farmer in the Ajumako area in the Central Region where he hailed from.
The former MP who served from 1996 to 2004 for the Ajumako-Enyan-Esiam Constituency, was one of the most popular public officials from the Central Region during the Kufuor era.
