Kumasi Asante Kotoko interim head coach, Michael Osei, has his sights set on making history with the Porcupine Warriors by winning the Ghana Premier League as head coach.
The former Kotoko player won the league title with the same side and, knowing history will be made should he win this season’s crown, Osei is extra motivated to ensure he gets that Laurel added to his rich CV as the only assistant manager with two league titles.
Speaking to the media after his side defeated Liberty Professionals in their match week 24 encounter, Osei said; “It [winning the trophy] will be history for me, having won it as a player and now I am on course to win it as a coach.
“The idea of making history [as the first player to win the title as a coach as well] is a driving force behind my hunger for success.”
Kotoko have had a stop-start season under Osei, but the soft-talking former Ghana international believes he is the right man to drive the team to league and continental success.
