Madam Afriyie Addai, a businesswoman, has been installed Osu Kinkawe Dzaasenye, with the stool name Naa Teinor Osaayiloh I.
The 61-year-old Dzaasenye, who would be a member of Osu Traditional Council, swore the oath of allegiance to the members of the Council.
She was born to the late G.K. Addai of Kumasi and the late Madam Victoria Chocho Masopeh of Osu Kinkawe (Teinor We), attended the Kumasi Academy and was trained as a caterer.
Speaking after her outdooring, Naa Teinor Osaayiloh said education and the creation of job opportunities for the youth are her major concerns.
She said she would endeavour to ensure that children of school-going age are enrolled in schools, adding that she could not do it alone and appealed for the support of Council members.
She expressed gratitude to the chiefs, elders and the citizens for the honour done her and the family.
Addressing the gathering, Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuona VI, Paramount Chief and President of the Council, urged the indigenes to let bygones be bygones and forge ahead in unity.
He said litigation and petty squabbles in the society retards progress, adding: “Should we have to continue litigating whilst other communities move forward in development?”
“We need to put these things behind us and compromise on our stands so that we can dialogue on how best our children and the people can have access to schools, job opportunities and health,” he said.
