The Chairman of the Eminent Chiefs mediating the protracted Dagbon Chieftaincy crises, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has directed that all new enskinments in the area be put on hold after the final funeral rites of the two prominent chiefs and the substantive Ya-Naa is found, MyNewsGh.com can report.

“I am directed by His Majesty Otumfuo Osci Tutu II, Asantehene, acting as the Chairman of Eminent Chiefs to formally notify you that , as part of the peace process, he has directed that from the commencement to the end of the funeral by both gates, there should be no enskinment in Yendi until after the selection of a new Yaa-Na. “, the statement addressed to the Chairman of the Northern Regional Security Council Chairman stated.

“It is the hope of the Committee of Eminent Chiefs that all concerned will fully cooperate to ensure the successful conclusion of the roadmap and to pave the way for the restoration of peace in Dagbon”, it stressed.

It would be recalled that the three eminent mediation committee, under the chairmanship of the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu, last month presented a roadmap for the resolution to the Dagbon chieftaincy crisis.
