Otumfuo celebrated on his 70th birthday

As a person highly revered by virtue of his position and deeds, the birthday of the Asantehene is an occasion that will throughout and beyond his lifetime court local and global commemoration.

With today May 6, 2020, marking the 70th birthday of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the overlord of the Asante Kingdom is being celebrated for chalking another milestone.

From his devout subjects to national and global leaders, the Asantehene is being showered with praises and well wishes on his special occasion.

Born Nana Barima Kwaku Duah, Otumfuo Osei Tutu was enstooled overlord of the Ashanti Kingdom on April 26, 1999. Throughout his 21-year reign, the Otumfuo has successfully made himself an emblem of leadership who has over the years grown his reputation globally.

It is no surprise that the birthday of the Otumfuo is being recognised by people and personalities who have one way or another sent a message to his royal majesty.

On social media, the Asantehene is being sent messages by personalities such as the president of the republic, Nana Akufo-Addo as well as from former presidents of the republic.
