Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has been invited by the United Nations (UN) to address the General Assembly on the Culture of Peace at the United States of America.
The speech will be delivered at the United Nations’ General Assembly High-Level Forum of the 25th Anniversary of the Adoption of the Declaration and Programme of Action on a Culture of Peace.
The Asantehene will be delivering a speech on his ability to use traditional methods and culture to engender peace in the Ashanti Region and Ghana as a whole.
The address will be delivered on 13 September 2019.
The Asante monarch is expected to leave the royal palace for the programme soon.
He made this known at the Asanteman Traditional Council meeting held on Monday, 19 August 2019 at the Manhyia Palace through his chief linguist, Nana Nsuase Poku Agyeman III.
