Broadcast journalist with XYZ Broadcasting Limited, Godfred Darkwah Jr., has attributed the inability of successive governments to govern properly to the evil deeds of our forefathers.

According to him, the founding fathers of Ghana went contrary to the word of God. Hence, the reason successive presidents have been unable to implement good development policies.

Leading prayers for Ghana at the 2020 maiden edition of Power 97.9FM’s Power Prayer Night Themed: Boa Ghana Mpaebo Held on Last Friday of Every Month, That took place at the Christian Redemption International Ministry on Friday, 29 February 2020, Man Godee, as he’s known in the media space, said he always blames Christians when the country is going astray because they do not intercede for Ghana.

“The foundation of the country is weak. Our forefathers contradicted with the word of God. For this reason, our current leaders discard their manifestoes [promises] once they win power and assume office. Nana [Akufo-Addo] promised one district, one factory one village, one dam and other mouth-watering campaign promises. Aren’t they good policies? They are, but none exist.” He said.

Man Godee stressed that the Christendom has the power to save the country from the evil spirits hindering the implementation of good plans and development policies by successive governments.

“He [President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo] also promised to build new schools starting from the scratch; he hasn’t built a single classroom block since he attained power.

I don’t belong to any of the political parties but our leaders often give big campaign promises. Unfortunately, they all fail to implement it. But when we pray and plead on their behalf God will see us through”.

He wondered why Aglow International, a non-denominational women prayer movement has drifted in its line of prayer for the country compared to previous years when it called for godly leaders and one who’s morally upright to lead the nation.

Quoting Lamentation 5:7, he called on the congregations to intercede on behalf of our forefathers and the nation in order to avert any curse causing the underdevelopment of the country.
