Some aggrieved men in in Assin Fosu in the Central region have defended their decision neither to date nor marry women or perhaps have any form relationship with women from the area.
They claim the women are not interested in long-lasting relationships but are only bent on exploiting cash from the men under the pretext of love and are bereft of good conduct to make them marriageable materials.
“Our women want money. Once you profess love to the person, all he start doing is making huge monetary demands and when you cannot afford, he jumps onto the next man who is willing and can raise the amount she may require”, an opinion leader said.
Some women in the area are pleading for presidential pardon for male prisoners to enable them marry because they are not toasted by their male counterparts which has led to high number of females who have attained marriage age yet are single.
According to them, some of them have been issued with ultimatums from their respective families to get married before the year 2017 ends or be disowned.
They however observe that this can only happen if the male prisoners are released because the men in their localities are not prepared to date them not alone talk of marriage.
“The men in the prison are more than the men in our town so please release them for us. We will enjoy with them and have a nice family together and so we beg Nana Addo to pardon the prisoners in our region because our town is dying” they bemoaned.
