Tema, Jan. 17, GNA - The Tema Circuit Court 'B' has sentenced two people to two years imprisonment each in hard labour, for stealing an outboard motor valued at 25 million cedis, at Ada Foah, in the Greater Accra Region.

They are William Logoh alias Abah Willie and Daniel Lavor. The Court issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Kabutey Tetteh, who is facing a charge of dishonestly receiving.

Police Chief Inspector Edith Nutakor told the Court presided over by Mr Stephen Teye, that on September 8, 2004, the two accused persons stole the outboard motor, which had been fitted on a speedboat on the Volta River Estuary at Ada Foah.

Police investigators traced the outboard motor to Gemeni fishing village in the Volta region on December 17, where it had been fixed on a canoe.

Chief Inspector Nutakor said the Police arrested the boat owner, one Kabutey Tetteh, leading to the apprehension of the two suspects. She said Logoh and Lavor sold the outboard motor for 16 million cedis.
