Three hundred and twenty-two (322) Doctors of Pharmacy have threatened to sue the Ministry of Health over unpaid salaries, citinewsroom.com reports.

According to the media organisation, they demand immediate payment of their one-year allowances from the Ministry of Health.

“We have in the circumstances been instructed by our clients to respectfully demand the immediate payment of all allowances due our clients in full,” the said, the report indicated.

They have, therefore, threatened to take legal action against the government institution if they are not paid within the next 30 days.

“Please take note that unless we hear favourably from you in any event at a date not less than 30 days from the date of receipt of this letter, we have our client’s instructions to commence legal action against you,” they stated.

In a letter dated August 21, the doctors' lawyers noted that the Pharmacy Council engaged the doctors on behalf of the Ministry of Health from July 2023 to July 2024.
