Kasoa, (C/R) Dec. 10, GNA - The Kasoa Police have directed owners of=
uncompleted buildings and Kiosks in the area to furnish them with particulars and information on occupants of those structures. The Kasoa District Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Jordan Quaye, gave the directive in a press statement issued in Kas= oa and copied to the Ghana News Agency, in Winneba.
He said the directive forms part of efforts to discover and weed out criminals in the area. He said the information required of the occupants include their names= , hometowns, location of structures and their employment. The Police Commander said their investigations had revealed that "mos= t criminals operate as squatters in uncompleted buildings and from kiosks i= n secluded areas of the Kasoa Township."
"The Kasoa Police will definitely need these data in order to ward of= f all manner of criminals from Kasoa." DSP Quaye appealed to owners of structures who do not know the people=
staying in their property to contact the Police immediately. He also appealed to the people at Kasoa to report those occupying abandoned houses and uncompleted structures whose means of livelihood wer= e unknown or suspicious. 10 Dec. 09
