The Posts and Telecommunications (P&T) Corporation has completed four projects in the Volta Region which have brought about an improvement in the telephone system in the region.
The projects include the replacement of old micro-wave radio link between Ho, Akosombo, and Koforidua with a moderm digital raddio, making it easier to book and receive calls from any part of the country without interaction.
Mr. C. Kusi-Appiah , Volta Regional Director of the P&T made this known when he briefed newsmen at Ho.. He said the 50-line automatic exchange at Kete- Krachie is also on trial while the digital radio link has been extended from Ho to Akatsi.
Mr. Kusi-Appiah said with the intallation of the digital radio link, television reception would improve when preparation s to put the Amedofe and Akatsi Television stations on teh new link are completed.
