General Secretary of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG), Tony Baffoe, has mentioned that newly appointed Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah has got the full backing of the association.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Tuesday April 4 named Appiah as the new coach of the senior national team after the Executive Committee settled on the former Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender.
Appiah's announcement has dominated the media waves and Baffoe, a FIFA match commissioner, believes the former national team captain is returning an improved coach.
"Coaching the Black Stars of Ghana comes along with its own pressure and being in such a responsible position you have got to have a tough skin,” Bafffoe said.
"We have got his back and he's one of us and we will definitely not disappoint him," he added.
Appiah has been handed a two-year rolling contract and will start his duties on 1st May, 2017.
