December 7, marked exactly a year since the NPP wrestled power from the John Mahama-led National Democratic Congress (NDC) government. Issues surrounding their one-term in office, the ups and downs dominated discussions in today's edition of Newsfile on Joynews.
The controversy and chaos surrounding the recent deaths of students in Kumasi Academy also featured on the show. Following the demise of four students of KUMACA in recent times, health authorities have been at the helm of the matter, trying to investigate the cause of the incidents. Majority of the samples from students of Kumasi Academy (KUMACA) by far have tested positive for Influenza Type-A H1N1. Meanwhile, some parents have trooped the school already to withdraw their wards.
Deliberations also centered on accusations of wrongful trade of lands by the NDC administration under the watch of Ex-President John Mahama. Defence Minister, Dominic Nitiwul, is demanding that former President John Dramani Mahama vacates his residence reportedly sited on a military land.
According to Mr. Nitiwul, top officials of the erstwhile Mahama administration sold lands belonging to the Ghana Armed Forces to cronies.
