The National President of the Police Ladies Association (POLAS), COP/Mrs. Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo Danquah, has charged members to exhibit a high level of professionalism at all times in line with their duties.
She observed that the forthcoming general elections require their professionalism, urging them to give their best.
Addressing members of the association from Ashanti, Ashanti North, and Ashanti South Police Regions at a meeting at Langford Royal Event Centre at Odeneho Kwadaso, Kumasi, she underscored the need for them to take advantage of online courses to upgrade themselves academically in their free time.
“There are lots of online courses that will make every one of you competent in your area. Law, accounting, forensics, and others are currently being done online. Take advantage of these online courses and upgrade yourselves with your free time," she said.
She also underscored the need for them to exhibit professionalism before, during, and after the 2024 elections.
She advised members on the need to be financially disciplined, take health matters seriously, and do regular check-ups.
Present at the meeting were Chief Superintendent Ms. Victoria Yeboaa Darkwah, FEMPOL and POLAS president Ashanti region, Chief Superintendent Ms. Hilda Maame Akarimanga Welfare POLAS, 22 other female SPOs, 300 inspectorates, and other ranks drawn from all three police regions within the Ashanti Region.
The purpose of the meeting was to have a special time with the National President and deliberate on issues concerning POLAS members.
