Accra, Jan. 31, GNA - The Private Newspaper Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) on Friday said it has received with shock the sudden death of Mr Dan Ansah, Publisher of the Ghanaian Voice and PRINPAG's representative on the National Media Commission.

A statement signed in Accra by Nii Laryea Sowah, Executive Secretary, said the late Dan Ansah 55, was a founding member of PRINPAG.

It said in 1996 he was elected PRINPAG's representative on the National Media Commission and endorsed in 1999 for another three-year term.

The statement said his death and absence from the Executive Committee of the Association would be felt, since he was one of the pillars in the newspaper industry. The statement said his paper founded in 1982 is one of the oldest existing private newspapers in the country today.

PRINPAG expressed its deepest condolences to his wife, children and the entire family as well as the staff of the Ghanaian Voice.
