Maritzburg United have exercised the option on goalkeeper Richard Ofori and handed the Ghana international a one year deal.
The 26-year-old has now signed a contract which keeps him to the Team of Choice until 2021.
Despite the extension, Ofori could still leave that the club but Maritzburg hold his registration and economic rights.
Ofori has been linked with a move to Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.
''Yeah, we're delighted to have exercised the one-year option on Richard’s contract. He's been a big player for us since his arrival, and we're obviously eager to keep progressing as a football club with him here,'' Maritzburg's Football and Operations Manager told Soccer Laduma.
''As the Chairman has previously said, there’s been no offers from anyone else regarding Richard, and he's fully focused on finishing the season strongly for us whenever we can get playing again.''
