Oyoko (Ash), - The Oyoko Schools Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) in the Bosontwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma district has donated 75 pieces of dual desks valued at 1.5 million cedis to the Primary and Junior Secondary Schools in the town. The desks were procured from contributions of 1,000 cedis per parent and fund-raising activities organised by the PTA. Presenting the items, Madam Margaret Nyamekye, chairperson of the PTA, said the inadequacy of furniture which forced many pupils to share single desks and chairs prompted the PTA's move. Madam Nyamekye said the PTA is this year exploring avenues for the procurement of dual desks for all the classrooms.
