Tutu (Eastern Region) 16 Oct '98 The Parent Teacher Association of Tutu Presbyterian Primary School in the Akwapim North district yesterday launched a three-year development programme which will cost 200 million cedis for the school The programme include the construction of a 12-classroomed block with two offices and two stores as well as the provision of furniture and sporting kits for both streams of the school. Okyeame Yaw Kwayisi, chairman of the association who led newsmen to inspect the school block, said resident citizens are paying 10,000 cedis each while non-residents are contributing at least 20,000 cedis each.

Madam Gladys Assah Danquah, headteacher of the school, said the association had spent 15 million cedis to construct a six- classroomed block with an office and a store for stream "A". Mr Samuel Asiedu Darkwa, assemblyman for the area, appealed to the Ghana Education Service, the Akwapim North district assembly and World Vision International for assistance towards the completion of the school.
