The Apostle-General of the Royalhouse Chapel International, Reverend Sam Korankye Ankrah, has condemned the teacher who allegedly inserted his fingers into the vagina of a Primary Two pupil, after offering to teach her what she had missed during vacation classes.

According to the Apostle-General, the suspect is a bad influence and does not deserve to be called a teacher.

“A certain nine-year-old girl has been defiled by a teacher, and you're a man with children and daughters and you're doing this to somebody’s daughter.

“The teacher does not know that he has brought damnation upon himself because whatsoever a man sows, that’s what you reap. The psychologist has a word for that teacher, they call them paedophiles; he is sick, this guy must not teach our children,” Rev. Korankye Ankrah said during a Sunday sermon.

Rev. Ankrah also offered to foot the medical bills of the victim who is unable to walk due to damage to her spine as a result of injury from the ordeal.

“I want to take care of that girl’s medical bills,” he stated.

The victim is currently battling for her life at New Ofaakor, a suburb of Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East District of the Central Region.

According to reports, the class teacher, who doubles as a pastor, fingered the little girl several times.

In an interview with Class News’ Central regional correspondent, Calvis Tetteh, the victim said she was late for extra classes and the teacher, Mr Morrison, sacked the rest of her mates from the classroom and started questioning why she was late.

During the interrogation, the victim said the teacher “sent me to a different classroom and asked me to lie on the table and started fingering me several times”.

The mother of the victim, Abena Bedu, also told the reporter that the teacher subsequently tried to have sexual intercourse with her daughter but he could not penetrate.

The girl fell from the table to the ground in the process and fractured her pelvic bone.

It is, however, uncertain if the fracture is due to the act of the teacher or the impact of the fall.

Ms Bedu added that they have been referred to the Winneba Trauma Hospital for surgery but she is unable to afford the medical bills.

She commended the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) of Kasoa led by DSP Florence Anaman for the swift arrest of the suspect, who is standing trial at the Kasoa Magistrate Court.

DSP Anaman confirmed the story to Class News but said she could not provide details on the case since it is under investigation.
