According to some residents, most of them were initially complacent with the protocols but that position has been revised following the announcement that the region has recorded a case.
Expressing their fears to Ghanaweb, they revealed that they will be abiding by the safety protocols in full since it is now clear that it is no more a mirage.
A resident who told Ghanaweb that his position to adhere to the safety protocols has now been rekindled by that singular announcement.
“The Bono East region recording a case has really put us on our toes because initially, we thought it wouldn’t come here but now it is here. Initially, although I was taking very good care of myself in terms of abiding by the protocols and everything. This time my attitude towards it has changed because now I have seen that it is around.” he said.
