“Papa Kwesi Nduom, many people will tell you, is the grand hope of a new Ghana. He is the best architect to design and build a better, prosperous, fairer and a secured Ghana. He has everything. He is young, able, purposeful, of high integrity, personally attractive and modest. He is not an exhibitionist. He is sanely progressive and wisely cautious. PKN, as he is affectionately called, is my man. He is the best man to lock the Ghanaian economy in a progressive gear” Comrade Felix Amoah

Speaking on Joyfm

Come September 2007 the CPP party will be at a crossroad in choosing a leader to lead it to victory in the December 2008 elections. We cannot afford to make the mistakes of the past. We will need to vote for someone whose aspiration is not to lead a CPP Party but to lead a CPP government. Ghanaians deserve better and it falls on us to give Ghana the direction and purpose it needs. We will need to vote for a leader who will be working tirelessly with his team to lock the Ghanaian economy in economic stability and invest in the infrastructure upon which our future prosperity will depend. A leader who will work towards the long-term investments Ghana needs in education, health, employment, skills and technology. A leader whose approach to work is the old fashioned way of operating, finding solutions to our problems. A leadership committed to change, a leader not limited by old ideologies.

It is our responsibility, as it has been the tradition of our party throughout its long and distinguished history, to bring a balance to the scales of social justice. To recognise that, we must invest in a leader who has the vision to educate our people, so that the nation does not pay for their unemployment outcomes of crime and disorder. Ghana deserves a leader who will invest heavily in the potential of the one resource that will exclusively be theirs: our people. Ghana needs a new direction and new answers. Paa Kwesi Nduom by his actions has demonstrated clearly a good understanding of the need for a new direction that must be set for Ghana. To meet the challenges of the twenty-first century, and to satisfy people’s aspirations today, our country needs a responsible leader who has vision in personal responsibility – giving every individual the skills, the resources, and the confidence to take control of their life. Paa Kwesi Nduom has at all times shown vision in professional responsibility – giving all those who work for him in his private enterprise the freedom to fulfil their vocation. Paa Kwesi Nduom’s pre-occupation will be to produce a highly skilled, highly invested, highly innovative and a highly productive economy as his commitment will be to the long term, to macro-economic stability, to an economic environment that encourages investment and innovation and to a financial system that is geared to the needs of industry.

He has remonstrated against the idea of big government and centralising decision making and political power in Accra and promised to give local people the chance (choice) to elect their own DCEs and mayors so as to ensure transparency and accountability. His vision reflects the mission of the modern CPP Party: a responsibility revolution to create an opportunity society – a new covenant, Nduom led CPP government will create the opportunity for the people to maximise their potential. Paa Kwesi Nduom brings a message of change, of optimism and hope. He brings aspirations and values that are not only built to last; but also are as relevant now as they have ever been Ghana has a great future within her reach. Nduom will build us the new Ghana we deserve, make our country young again, and let us all embrace that future. You can play your part by joining the Convention Peoples Party.

Paa Kwesi Nduom Led Convention Peoples Party will be a voice for change, optimism and hope. It will be a party that represents everyone in Ghana: wherever they live, whatever their race, religion, gender, sexuality or salary. Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom is eager to rebuild and strengthen our society for the benefit of all.

This is an exciting time in Ghanaian politics. We have the opportunity to vote for a candidate, who understands the problems of Ghana, having been at various times a Public servant (Minister), An M.P., an Assemblyman, Management Consultant, a father, Husband and above all a Patriotic Son of Ghana, who bleeds when Ghana is wounded. He will help to develop a positive, forward looking agenda that will help meet the big challenges our motherland faces, and help make Ghana a better place to live, visit and work.

When the bell tolls in September, for CPP to elect its Flagbearer we should be compelled to vote for someone who would work to create a new, inclusive organisation, reflecting today's Ghana. So we need to take decisive steps to change the face of our great Party. We need to focus on the future, vote for someone who will be able to engage people - young, old, those who are committed to politics and those who have given up on it- in the task of meeting the challenges faced by our country and our world. We need to vote for someone with very good negotiating skills who will be able to bring into our fold all those who have left our great party; Paa Kwesi Nduom stands tall among all the candidates contesting in achieving the above.

Paa Kwesi Nduom understands and has demonstrated his preparedness to take Ghanaians to the Promised Land, by embarking on human centred policies and fighting our current challenges head on. Paa Kwesi Nduom is prepared and ready for the leadership challenges and will address the current challenges, in an open minded, creative and thoughtful way. We believe with all our heart Paa Kwesi Nduom will take Ghana to the Promised Land. PKN will make this happen. Paa Kwesi Nduom will usher Ghana into a new era of progress, prosperity and renewal. He can and he will. Join our campaign by emailing pkn4president@yahoo.com
