Parliament Reconvenes Today

Parliament is to reconvene at 10.00 hours on Tuesday to consider the State of Emergency imposed on the Dagbon Traditional Area.

The House, which went on recess on March 28, would reconsider the State of Emergency and curfew hours in accordance with Article 31 Clause 3 of the Constitution.

The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mr Freddie Blay said the recall is in pursuance of Standing Orders 42 Clause 3 and Standing Orders 13 Clause 2 of Parliament to recall members from the recess.

The House would also discharge the responsibility imposed on it in relation to the approval of the Presidential nominations for appointment as Ministers and Deputy Ministers.
