Parliament has finally passed a US$24.5 million credit agreement between the Government of Ghana and the Fidelity Bank Limited to complete Job 600 building project.

The stalled Job 600 project is expected to provide offices to Members of Ghana’s Parliament.

However, the agreement was passed amid some confusion after the Member of Parliament for old Tafo, Dr. Akoto Osei sought to draw to the attention of the house on certain aspects of the agreement that required further consultations and amendment before its passage.

Dr. Akoto Osei left the chamber to confer with the Majority leader Benjamin Kumbuor but before he could get back into the chamber, the agreement had been passed.

This obviously did not go down well with the ranking member for the finance committee.

The Speaker Doe Adjahoe also shared his frustration about the constant delay of the project as well as the quality of work.

Speaking on the floor of Parliament, Mr. Doe Adjaho stated that he was no more going to involve himself in matters relating to the job 600 project.
