Security scanners at the Parliament of Ghana have broken down, rendering the legislature vulnerable to attacks by unsuspecting people.

The House appears not to be much concerned about this development any longer after several appeals to the Ministry of Finance have not yielded any positive results.

Thorough body and luggage checks that one goes through with the aid of the Rapiscanners are no more taking place.

The machines, Kasapafmonline.com understands, have been down for about six months now with little hope of being revived.

Security personnel are now using Hand-held Metal Detectors to support their body checks that are normally done manually.

Speaker, Rt. Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho, this website is told is not happy about the situation and has been knocking the doors of the appropriate quarters.

Officials of Parliament are tight-lipped about the development.
