Pastor asks Ghanaians to accept court verdict

Right Reverend Dr Festus Yeboah Asuamah, Anglican Bishop of Sunyani Diocese, has appealed to Ghanaians to accept the verdict of the Supreme Court election 2012 petition in good faith for peace to prevail.

He called on religious bodies and Christians to pray to promote unity, peace and understanding among the people to prevent national division on partisan politics.

Rt. Rev Asuamah made the appeal when dedicating a storey building for the Saint Barnabas Anglican Church at Nkoranza in the Brong-Ahafo Region.

He also laid the foundation stone for the construction of a manse estimated at GH¢300,000.

Rt Rev Asuamah called on the Government to consider the plight of the unemployed youth and initiate policies and programmes to create employment opportunities for them.

He appealed to workers to work harder to increase productivity.

Venerable Emmanuel Mensah, Archdeacon of Nkoranza Anglican Church commended the members for their hard work to raise funds for the projects.

Mr Yaw Nyarko, People’s Warden of the church said the first phase of the storey building contained 23 stores and 32 stores and a 2,000 capacity conference hall for the second phase.

Okatakyie Agyeman Kudom IV, Paramount Chief of Nkoranza, commended the church for establishing a University College at Nkoranza to enhance development.
