Ho, Aug 4, GNA - Reverend Samuel Dunya, General Overseer of Globeserve Missions International, on Saturday called on pastors to guard against false teaching and desist from diluting the word of God to suit members of their congregations.
He said "foolish and false speculations are not part of the Kingdom of God."
Reverend Dunya said this at the sixth graduation ceremony of the Globeserve Bible Training College in Ho.
He said pastors had become the major cause of broken homes and break-up of many marriages with false teachings and urged them to uphold the principles of God as true men of God.
Reverend Dunya said there were many confused Christians whose predicament were as a result of "false teachings based on the tradition of men" and called for a change. He said many "men of God" did not know the needs of their members and advised the grandaunts to constantly seek the face of God concerning the needs of their congregations and "work the word for the word to work for them". He urged them to flee youthful lusts and affluence living at the expense of their congregation and remained humble, patient and "ready to preach at anytime any moment".
Pastor Gideon Dorworna, Principal of the College, said it was not true that only people who failed in academics turned into the work of God and that it was important for all aspiring pastors to have a Biblical tuition. Sixty-four pastors graduated and were presented with Diploma in Theology. 04 Aug 07
