Pastors cautioned against greed

Cape Coast, May 29, GNA- The Reverend Doku Madjitey, former Principal of the Gaylord Theological College at Cape Coast, on Saturday appealed to newly trained Ministers of the Gospel not to use their profession to amass wealth.

They should instead, endeavour to serve faithfully and with dedication and commitment, to enhance the work of God.

Rev. Madjitey, made the call at the second graduation ceremony of the college, during which, six graduands passed out.

He stressed that "as ambassadors of God" ministers of the gospel, were duty bound to set examples worthy of emulation. The Principal of the college, Rev. Emmanuel Opuama, told the graduands to follow " the foot steps of Christ to enable them to discharge their duties efficiently, cautioning that just being servants of God, was not enough Rt. Rev. Margaret Yalley, Director of the College, said the objective of the college is not only to train people to be pastors, but train them to understand the Bible better.
