Accra Hearts of Oak winger Patrick Razak says winning the 2016/2017 Ghana Premier League top scorer award remains his ultimate target.

According to the pacy winger, though supporters of the Rainbow colours are not really impressed with their performance recently in the ongoing Ghana Premier League, their criticisms are welcomed and would help to sharpen the team’s performance on the pitch in their remaining fixtures.

He adds though Hearts are yet to find their outstanding form displayed last season, a victory against Accra Great Olympics on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium would ginger the playing body to win their subsequent matches to ensure his ”dream of winning the Gold King is achieved”.

Speaking on Kumasi based Abusua Fm, Razak said [It’s unfortunate we Hearts have not had a good start to the season and so we understand the fans frustrations but want to assure them that we will do our best to pick victories in our subsequent games starting from our match against Olympics on Sunday].

He further stated that even though Hearts can still win the league since just five out 30 matches have been cleared so far, he’s also working ”harder and start banging in goals for Hearts to enable him clinch the 2016/2017 top scorer’s award. Football is my profession therefore I always try to learn from my mistakes and improve upon them to make a better player because I always want to deliver well for my team.

”It is unfortunate I couldn’t achieve my goal of winning the league with Hearts of Oak but the dream is still on course so I want to win the league and also be in the goal king race”

When asked if he’s confident Hearts of Oak can win the league replied ”The league just started and we haven’t played so many matches so our aim of winning the league is still on course and we are working assiduously to make it a reality at the end of the season”.

The former Tamale Utrecht winger has netted only a goal this season for the Phobians in their away fixture against Ebusua Dwarfs in Cape Coast.

It is uncertain whether Razak will feature for Hearts in their crucial match against city rivals Great Olympics following a minor injury he sustained while training with his team mates.
