The former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings has expressed pessimism over the success of the National Reconciliation Commission.
Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings said on Peace fm today that, the NRC bill could not even unite members of the NDC and NPP blocs in Parliament, during its passage, because the views expressed by the NDC minority, were apparently ignored by their NPP folks.
The former first lady noted that, for a true reconciliation to be achieved, all aggrieved persons would have to be given equal opportunities to present their cases, rather than limiting the whole process to only unconstitutional regimes.
She added that, even during the pre-independent era, there were some people whose individual rights were violated, who must not be given windows of opportunity to make their case.
