Mampong (Ash), Dec 29, GNA- A number of people with diverse ailments claimed they had been healed at the end of a five-day retreat of the Asante-Mampong division of the Deeper Christian Ministry on Sunday.
The members, on the last day of the retreat, gazed at the sky while listening to the ministration of Pastor William F. Kumuyi, the General Overseer of the church from Nigeria via satellite transmission. Then Madam Charity Amenya 35, a trained teacher at Effiduase, testified that she had received divine healing.
She claimed that the fibroid she had lived with for the past seven years had disappeared during the ministration and said her ailment was medically diagnosed and that she had been booked for a surgical operation in January next year.
Mr Emmanuel Osei-Sarfo, a 65-year-old mason who was brought to the retreat grounds paralysed, regained his strength and started jumping and praising God to the stunned congregation.
Madam Gladys Brefo 50, another trained teacher at Mampong also claimed she had been healed for a discharge from a scar on the navel as a result of three operations.
A lot more people testified they had been healed of their various ailments and others said they received inner peace for their souls. Dr Samuel Adjei, Afigya-Sekyere District Director of Health Services and a member of the church, examined the cases that were healed and proclaimed they had been healed but asked them to go for medical check up.
