The Economic Fighters League, a mass movement in Ghana has scored the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) zero percent on the economy.

Leading member of the group, Ernesto Yeboah told Rainbow Radio 87.5FM that the ruling NPP has failed woefully over the past two years on their major campaign and economic policies they made to Ghanaians.

According to him, the league is not looking at the ratings by the International Monetary Fund and other known bodies but the condition under which Ghanaians are living.

He said, if you have an economy you are unable to control with 97 percent of our gold mining in the hands of foreigners, how can we give you a any score on that?

The free education policy he said is good butt described it as a social policy and insisted that, the economic area under this administration is bad and even used the collapse of some banks in the country as an example to identify the failure of the NPP.

He wondered why politicians including the Senior Minister, Osafo Maafo, failed to allow his children to apply for the Nation Builders Corps and yet allowed them to get juicy jobs with better salaries.

When asked to give a general rating of the NPP government, he gave it 15 percent and justified it by stating that, the promise to create jobs for the youth and improve the living standard of people has not materialised.

The government has performed below average and the major thing that won the NPP power was about the economy, it was about jobs and money in our pockets, he added.

He spoke about stability of the cedi, the price of utilities, inflation, price of petrol but called on government to use the remaining years to change the situation in order for Ghanaians to be relieved from the struggles they are going through.
