Over 500 student were taken through various planting process
As part of the efforts to fight the climate crisis and train students to be climate justice ambassadors in Ghana, the Plant-For-The-Planet Initiative has inaugurated its chapter.
The Plant-For-The-Planet Initiative is a non-governmental organization that seeks to promote climate justice advocacy by engaging students to take action against global challenges of climate crisis, poverty eradication and environmental degradation.
The president of Mohammed Rabiu Dannakabu indicated that so far “over 5000 students have been made climate justice ambassadors to enable them pass on their knowledge and also encourage other children to take on social responsibility and shape their future."
The organization has also planted close to 2500 trees in both the Upper East and Northern Regions of Ghana and was supported by the Billion Tree Campaign by UNEP.
During the official launch of the Ghana chapter, ten executive members were inducted into the office to help promote the mission of the organization.
