Plot To Kill Ghana’s Hottest Investigative Journalist

Ghana’s hottest investigative journalist, Anas Aremeway Anas, would fly out of Ghana on Wednesday over what is believed to be an assassination plot, NEWS-ONE has gathered.

Anas, co-publisher of the New Crusading Guide and CEO of Tiger Eye, a private investigative firm, has over the years concealed his identity from the public eye but sources close to his office say he has been betrayed by a close friend who has released what is believed to be photos of his true likeness, and details of his modus operandi.

Our source said the betrayer, a male journalist, gave the information to persons whose dubious activities have been exposed by Anas in one way or another and the investigative journalist has since been receiving calls from unknown persons who issue death threats to him.

The callers cowardly would not mention their names, aside saying that they had received information on his modus operandi and would soon end his life.

Meanwhile, NEWS-ONE has gathered that Anas is under 24-hour protection jointly sponsored by a number of foreign-based NGOs interested in his anti-child trafficking campaign.

The source hinted further that a number of top government officials in security positions have called Anas to assure him of his safety, and pledged their support for his investigative work. He is also reported to have received tonnes of congratulatory messages from heads of several institutions.

It sounds incredible but NEWS-ONE has confirmed that Anas has received phone calls from a number of Pastors who say they have seen visions that some people are resorting to supernatural means to get him killed through a road accident.

Meanwhile, if there is one journalist whose face Ghanaians are eager to see and may not mind paying a little money for it, that journalist would be Anas.

The multi award-winning investigative journalist has over the years succeeded in hiding his identity so he could continue to work undercover.

Currently, there are two photographs bearing the images of two different people that are being circulated in the media as pictures of Anas.

Just last week, Robert Nii Arday Clegg, host of Multi TV’s PM Express, managed to get Anas on his show and made him face the TV cameras. NEWS-ONE has laid hands on a couple of still photos that were taken during the TV show.

Anas was heavily disguised as a bearded albino wearing a big-framed spectacles. Though his original make-up artiste has been Kinsley Croomsom, checks show that one Johnson Adu was responsible for what Anas looked like when he appeared on the PM Express show.

Kingsely Croomson is credited for turning Anas into a Muslim lady when he did the Osu Orphanage investigations and again changing him into a Reverend Minister for the same investigation.
