Accra, May 6, GNA - The Pokuase Asafoatse, Nii Amono II was abducted while walking along the Accra - Kumasi Highway in Pokuase at about 1700 hours on Thursday.
Mr William Nettey, Driver and Younger Brother of Nii Amono, told newsmen that 11 persons in two vehicles attacked the Asafoatse and abducted him.
He said a BMW and a Mercedes Benz cars pulled up by Nii Amono as he walked along the road. The men came out and hit him with a stick that dazed him. They forced him into the Benz car with registration number GR 2252 P and drove away.
Mr Nettey said between 2000 hours and 2100 hours he had a call on his cell phone from Nii Amono, who asked him to send one million cedis through one Kwashie to him at Tema.
He said he sent the money and that at about 1600 hours on Friday Nii Amono called him again to say he had been freed. Mr Nettey said he had reported the incident to the Amasaman Police.
