Accra, Jan. 9, GNA - The Greater Accra Regional Command of the Ghana Police Service on Monday appealed to Muslims to go about Tuesday's celebration of the Eid-Ul-Adha peacefully, saying they would not tolerate any breach of the peace in any community.
A statement signed by Inspector Kwaku Dompreh, Public Relations Officer, recalled that in previous celebrations some Muslim youths vandalised property, blocked roads and caused general mayhem in certain parts of Accra.
"The Regional Police Command, therefore, warns Muslim leaders in all Muslim communities in the city to make sure that such acts do not occur this time around because the Police will deal ruthlessly with anybody who will use the occasion to disturb the peace of the public." The Police wished all Muslims a happy Eid-Ul-Adha.
