Police applaud public cooperation during inauguration of the President

The Ghana Police Service has expressed sincere appreciation to the general public for their cooperation and understanding during the swearing-in ceremony of President John Dramani Mahama and Vice President Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

A statement from the police on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, noted,

"We sincerely commend the general public for their understanding and cooperation with the Police yesterday, during the event."

The police commended the public for the patience displayed by motorists amidst the temporary road closures and traffic diversions in Accra.

"We particularly thank the motoring public for their patience during the temporary road closures and traffic diversions in Accra during the event", it explained.

The Ghana Police Service also reiterated its commitment to ensuring the peace, security, and law enforcement across the country.

"The police remain committed to maintaining peace, security, law and order across the country and urge the public for their continuous support", it added.
