Police arrests proprietor for assaulting pregnant woman

Hohoe, Sept. 25, GNA- The 45-year old Proprietor of Picque-Nicque Guest House in Hohoe, Dzigbordi Simpi has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a five- month pregnant woman who lives in the same house with him at Gbi-Bla in the Municipality. According to the Police, Simpi assaulted Ms, Charity Mensah, a 42-year-old trader who is married to his elder brother as a result of a domestic feud. Ms Mensah, fell into coma and was rushed to the Hohoe Municipal Hospital for treatment. Chief Inspector Kofi Appiah-Ntori, who is in-charge of Gbi-Bla Police station in Hohoe, told the Ghana News Agency that Simpi would be arraigned and charged with assault and battery.
