The National Police Motor Traffic and Transport Union (MTTU) has expressed its gratitude to all motorists for the exemplary cooperation displayed during the electoral process.

An official statement issued in Accra and signed by the Commanding Officer of MTTU, ACP Angwubutoge Awuni on Sunday reminded the public, especially the motorists to maintain the traffic discipline exhibited so far as the country awaited the declaration of results by the Electoral Commission.

The statement said all forms of jubilation especially those using vehicles and motorbikes must exercise extra caution to prevent needless crashes and injuries.

“Furthermore, we will like to remind the motoring public of our massive deployment plan to ensure an accident free Christmas and New Year festivities through vigorous enforcement of the traffic laws.

“We are therefore expecting all road users to be law abiding to enhance discipline and sanity on our roads,” it added.
