The Development Chief of Sapeiman, Nii Arday Okanfra and Director of Sisanba Empire- an estate developer, has called on the police to investigate thoroughly the killing of the late Development of Ardayman and bring the perpetrators to book.

Speaking to Kwame Tutu on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, he said there are cases of attempted murder and brutalities on some persons in the area some years back without any action taken because the offenders have connived with the police.

Three suspects have been apprehended by the police in connection to the murder of the late development chief of Ardeyman last Friday near Amasaman in the Greater Accra Region.

The suspects are Asafoatse Nii Quaye Kortey, aka Cobra, 39, a carpenter; Musah Mohammed, 28, a scrap dealer, and Rahim Yakubu, 20, a herdsman.

The suspects were arrested at Ridge View Hotel at Kwabenya in Accra where they are suspected to have attempted to launch a similar attack on another victim who was then lodging in the hotel.

The Development Chief at Amasaman community in the Ga East Municipal Assembly of the Greater Accra Region Nii Tettey Sarbah was murdered some few days ago.

The deceased, was found dead in his room which was close to the stool house.

The deceased when found had two curved cuts on his stomach and dried blood is seen everywhere. It is believed that the Development was killed because of a land case.

Nii Arday Okanfra minced no words when he accused the chief of the area of masterminding the killing because he wanted to take a 30-acre land which a family property and sell it off. ‘’How can we get justice when the culprits involved are conniving with the police? It is was clear and apparent that the chief hired the land guards to come and do what they did. The police should be fair and avoid being selfish.

The facts are with them and they are aware of what happened. The incident was preventable because the Paramount Chief of Asere petitioned the police and warned that such an incident will occur but they failed to act.

They should act with conscience, they should arrest all those who are involved.

We have presented them with the names yet they have failed to arrest them. They did not arrest the three suspects in custody but we gave them the intelligence report before they managed to arrest them.’’ ‘’The police should not joke with the issue. They have to consider the lives of residents and act fast,’’ he said.
