Accra, Sept 29, GNA - Mr Hackman Owusu-Agyemang, Minister of the Interior, on Monday said the government would equip the Police to make them more efficient. He said this when the government presented eight sanitation trucks worth 4.5 billion cedis to the Police service to help them keep their surroundings clean. Mr Owusu-Agyemang said the police would certainly have problems but the government would do everything possible to get them ahead of criminals and enable them to fight crime. Nana Owusu Nsiah, Inspector General of Police, said there was the need to keep their surroundings clean to keep them healthy to be able to work. He appealed to the government to provide them with water tankers to enable them to use the water closets instead of the pan latrine they now use. He pledged that the vehicles would maintain the vehicles and put them to good use.
