Ejura (Ash), Oct 2, GNA - The Ejura District Police Command has launched a massive search for a gang of armed robbers who mounted a barrier on the Ejura-Aframso road, seizing cash and other valuables from travellers. The robbers also forced the driver of a commercial vehicle at gun-point to have sex with some of the female passengers. Deputy Superintendent of Police Henry Bacho, the District Commander, told the Ghana News Agency that the criminals are believed to be hiding at Aframso and Ejura. He said they were resolute in their determination to do everything to bring to justice the suspects who are thought to be of Fulani extraction. "There is no way, we are going to allow criminals to terrorize and hold the law-abiding, hostage." The gang of robbers blocked the road at about 0100 hours on September 17 at the Aframso forest section and robbed the passengers. They fled into the bush when the police arrived and Mr Bacho appealed the public to give information that would lead to the arrest of the miscreants.
