Police launch investigations into Radio Station Attack
The Northern Regional Police Command has started investigations into last Friday’s attack on Tamale-based Radio Justice.
The Station was reportedly attacked by some thugs who severely injured one of the station’s anchors and three other panelists and vandalized transmission gadgets as well.
The raiders, suspected to be sympathizers of the Andani Royal Family besieged the Justice FM, while a regular programme was running and attacked all four men including the presenter before turning their fury on the station equipment, forcing the live show to an abrupt end.
The motive behind the attack is yet to be established, but the Police in the Northern region have said investigations are underway to apprehend the suspects.
Police secured the network station and the normal programmes have resumed while a probe launched into the attack, Yunus Yiripha, host of the station’s morning show told Kasapa FM’s Northern Regional Correspondent, Eliasu Tanko.
