The students were found from a hideout
A joint operation between a local community group and the Ghana Police Service has led to the discovery of a major hideout used by truant Senior High School (SHS) students during school hours.
The group, known as The Zongo Youth for Discipline reportedly uncovered the location following concerns over rising cases of indiscipline among students within the capital city, Accra.

The hideout, which served as a hangout for students from various schools across Accra, was raided on the morning of Monday, February 2, 2026.
During the operation, several students who were still in their school uniforms were apprehended.
The report on SikaOfficial’s X page on February 2, 2026, indicated that the hideout had become a popular spot for students to congregate and engage in non-academic activities while their peers were in class.
Following the raid, the students were escorted to the Nima District Police Station for processing and counseling.

At the station, the Deputy Commander, ASP Asong Ayrakwa, engaged the students in an advisory session.
According to the report, the commander advised the students and subsequently handed them over to their respective school authorities.
